What is CodeMay?

“CodeMay….  huh??”

I know that’s probably what you’re asking yourself. Well, sorry to disappoint, it’s just me. I guess you could say it’s my online pseudonym. My alter ego, secret identity, what have you. It’s a combination of “code” as in computer code, and my last name, May. It’s also a bit of a play on mayday (as in “mayday, mayday, the ship is going down!”).

Ok, so my name is Jaime May, and as the tagline above states I’m a web developer, musician and that’s right, a gun enthusiast. When I’m not at my computer working away or at the studio playing music, I try and spend as much time as possible out in the woods target shooting, hunting, and generally pretending to be some kind of mountain man. (The good kind, I swear. Not the scary kind.)

As a web developer, I am employed at a company called Expansion Computers, Inc where I reside as the Lead Web Developer and General Manager of Awesomeness. I promise that’s a real title. I also do some freelance here and there on the side. If you’re looking for a website, or even just some general web help, let me know and whether freelance or through my employer, I can handle just about anything.

As a musician I play in a band here in Portland, OR called Jokers & Jacks. My brother and I started the group a few years ago and we’ve enjoyed playing out locally as well as up and down the West Coast on a couple tours, and we’ve also recorded some of our music for distribution.

Music is my passion, guns are for fun, web development pays the bills… and I kinda like it too.
